SWIMMERS…TAKE YOUR MARK…and GO join a great summer swim team – the West Howard Wahoos!!! We are in Division III this year we need YOU to keep our team strong and competitive. We want to welcome back all of our returning swimmers and encourage other members, both new and experienced, to give it a try! All ability levels are welcome from age 5 (6 and under age group) to 18. You just have to be able to swim one length of the pool without help. You’ll learn everything else from butterfly and breaststroke to starts and flip turns. We’ll also have lots of fun social events and don’t forget free donuts after every Friday morning practice!!
Heading the reigns as the Wahoo coach for the second year is Justin Owen. Mr. Owens has a wealth of swim coaching experience and enthusiasm for the sport! Head Coach Owens encourages you to come sign up for the swim team and meet lots of new friends while having fun! If you are interested in joining the Swim Team, please sign up with Debbie O’Byrne or Mary Pat Jordan before the first practice (Tuesday, May 29). No swimmers will be allowed to practice with the team until the registration process is complete. Anyone interested in joining the swim team committee please contact Debbie O’Byrne or Mary Pat Jordan to discuss how you can support our team.

After school Practice:May 29, 30, 31 & June 1, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 11
3:30-4:30 p.m. – ages 13 and over
4:30-5:00 p.m. – ages 8-under
5:00-5:45 p.m. – ages 9-10
5:45-6:30 p.m. – ages 11-12
June 12-29 (Monday through Thursdays)
7:45-9:00 a.m. – ages 13 and over
9:00-10:00 a.m. – ages 9-10 & 11-12
10:00-11:00 a.m. – ages 7-8
Friday mornings after school is dismissed:
11:00-11:30 a.m – ages 6-under
** Friday Mornings are Friday Fun Practices
Practices will be in the AM once Howard County School are finished the 2012 school year. Schedule is in handbook.
